Section A: Directed Writing

You are advised to spend about 45 minutes on this section.

Question 1

You were asked by your principal to attend a dialogue session organised by the town council
to discuss the chief causes of accidents on the roads and how these accidents could be
avoided. As the president of the English Language Society, write an article for your school
website on how motorists cause accidents and suggest some ways to reduce these
accidents.
