I cheated with the onions, carrot and celery and used a food processor to finely chop the three ingredients, used one 125gm tub of Leggos Tomato Paste and two tins of Ardmona Rich & Thick diced tomatoes mixed herb flavour. It is so easy to make and smells good too while I'm waiting!!!

5 hazeldow added this comment at 05:45am Tue 5th November, 2013 I will never buy the stuff in a jar again! This was really easy and quick to make, and delicious. I used half a cup of beef stock instead of water, but that was the only tweak.

4 Iloveroses added this comment at 08:21pm Wed 17th July, 2013 I made it tonight. Really tasty and easy to make. I got 5 cups of the sauce, nice and thick. There are 3 of us so I am freezing the remainder for another time. I added a beef stock cube and 2 bay leaves but didn't have any nutmeg. Brown sugar instead of Splenda. Yummy!
