What are the issues surrounding my topic?


Now the technologies is advanced than before. Many people buy cars instead of take bus and walk. Automobile exhaust is released. So the environment have a lot of air pollution. A lot of factories are build in city. The factory will release a lot of air pollution to effect the environment.

Why is your chosen topic problematic?


Everyday we need to live in city. If the air pollution is not good, it will cause a lot of diseases for people healthy. So we need to pay more attention on this problem, because a lot of air pollution is harmful our health.

What are the causes of this issue?


Natural events that pollute the air include forest fires, volcanic eruptions, wind erosion, pollen dispersal, evaporation of organic compounds and natural radioactivity. 1. Emissions from industries and manufacturing activities 2. Burning Fossil Fuels 3. Household and Farming Chemicals

What are the impacts/ consequences of this issue?


Acidification: Chemical reactions involving air pollutants can create acidic compounds which can cause harm to vegetation and buildings. Eutrophication: Rain can carry and deposit the Nitrogen in some pollutants on rivers and soils. This will adversely affect the nutrients in the soil and water bodies. Ground-level ozone: Chemical reactions involving air pollutants create a poisonous gas ozone. Particulate matter: Air pollutants can be in the form of particulate matter which can be very harmful to our health.

How does this issue affect us?


Not fresh air will let people have sour throat and it also will make people get a lot of cancers. In Beijing, the air quality is not good, people always wear masks while they go outside.

What can we do about it?


Conserve energy - turn off appliances and lights when you leave the room. Recycle paper, plastic, glass bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans. Buy green electricity-produced by low-or even zero-pollution facilities. Connect your outdoor lights to a timer or use solar lighting. Try to take the bus, subway or walk instead
