Directions and Ferry Information

Vashon Island is located between Tacoma and Seattle. You can catch a ferry from either side. Ferry rates are roundtrip. For more ferry information: www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/schedule

The West Seattle ferry leaves from the Fauntleroy dock and the Tacoma ferry leaves from the Point Deance dock (the Tahlequah-Vashon).

From the South - Pt. Deance ferry terminal: I-5 North to Highway 16. Take the Pearl Street/Hwy 163. (sign also says Vashon Ferry...in really small letters). Go straight through light at end of off ramp. At second light take a right onto Pearl Street and follow until it ends at the park (ve way stop). The ferry entrance is a soft right (just past the go-carts)--you will see the ticket booth. On island: Follow Vashon Highway heading North for approximately 2 miles, road will Y, take left onto Wax Orchard Road. Follow Wax Orchard Rd until it Ts at SW 220th St, take right. You will see eld on right soon after you turn. Turn right on Old Mill Rd for entrance (approximately 10 minutes from the dock). From the North or East (I-90/Snoqualmie Pass) - Fauntleroy Terminal: I-5 South to Exit 163 A the West Seattle Bridge Exit. West Seattle Way becomes Fauntleroy Way...follow it for approx. 6 miles through the West Seattle neighborhood. Once you pass the big park on the right you will need to be on the lookout for the ferry line. In rush hour this car line runs along the street next to the park. The dock is at the bottom of the hill soon after the park. If there is no line you just go right to the dock. On island: Stay on Vashon Highway for approximately 6 miles to the third 4-way stop (there is a restaurant called Sound Food on the corner). This is SW 204th. Take a right on 204th, road will change into SW 220th. Take left on Old Mill Rd, you will see the eld! Camping at trial site is very tight. Great camping nearby for trailers of all sizes at the Paradise Ridge Horse Park less than 1 mile from trial eld.
