My English Learning experience When I started learning English, I knew myself is not a gifted English learner, I struggled a lot

but the effect is not that much. My first English class was at my third grade when I was nine. The first week of learning English, the teacher taught us twenty six English letters, I noticed all my classmate already known these letters thoroughly when I was still straggling with their order. Learning English is an !ery painful experience for me at that time. When I was in six grade, It was !ery hard for me to express myself in English when e!erybody can do it. Whene!er I tried my best to speak English in class, i would be laughed by my classmates. I had no confidence to speak English any more. "nd I went to my English teacher for help , she did help me, but I could see her face become more and more cold. I suffered a lot in the class because I did not want to lose face in front of my friends. I reali#ed that the best way to pro!e myself is to study harder and caught up with others. $o I sei#ed e!ery chance to speak English in class as well as in free talk. What%s more, I did morning reading e!ery day. I continued working, howe!er one thing was freaking me out is when I got my test score, I couldn&t belie!e I got such a low score after a series of hard work. I felt I was useless and no matter how many time I practiced, the English wouldn&t stick on my mind. My elementary school English teacher liked to gi!e us some English con!ersation to remember. "nd she also ga!e us a deadline for it. $o we needed remember those English con!ersation and recite to her before the deadline. "nd I was the last one finish it e!ery time. "ctually I can&t call it 'finish(, I was crying when I went to my teacher office. I was begging her to gi!e me more time to remember it, because it&s so hard for me to remember the text and I don&t want a ')( shows on my grade board, but the teacher was kind

of irresponsible, she let me read about it se!eral times and let me go. I got bad score on most of my English exams, my dad was freaking out, so he beat me instead of listening to my explanation, my father beat me on the face and my nose was bleeding so badly. Then the frist time I ha!e the intention to kill myself. I felt hopeless. My parent made me felt I can not get success e!en i had good grade on my other courses. $o does my English teacher, she *ust care about students who had good grade. Working hard but no effect. My parents forced me to signed up tutoring class, my free recreational time ha!e took away. +nfortunately the extra class e!en made me struggle more. The teach at extra class ga!e me more work to do, I couldn&t e!en finish my school assignment. It&s a miserable period. I couldn&t find a effecti!e way to learn English, the teacher o!er there *ust offer me many homeworks without ga!e me any deeper help. The most despair thing is I tried all the ways i know, but none of them works !ery well. I got nice score ser!al times, but my grade was !ery unstable. I spent too much time on English, that caused my other courses was descending. I usually had good grade on my on Math and )hinese, but these course&s was descending. Then I went to *unior high school, I met my English teacher, we called her Mrs. ,hang a name I will keep in my mind fore!er.and she changed my entire English learning experience. I rememberd the first day she walked into classroom with the best smile e!er. In my memory, she said '-ood Morning, )lass( in a soft !oice and then ga!e us a beautiful smile. Maybe the !oice and the smile attracted me, so I picked up my interests of learning English. $he found me with my problem and helped me out. I began to like English when I entered the *unior middle school. I owed it to Mrs. ,hang.

who has stimulated my great interest in learning English and then influenced my future, $he showed great lo!e to us. .ifferent from other teachers, she has ne!er been impolite to us. /ppositely, she treated us e0ually. $he made efforts to attract us to the world of English, to understand the beauty of the language and en*oy the cultures of the foreign countries. With her skillful help, the students in our class took great interest in this course and impro!ed rapidly. Mrs. ,hang was kind and patient. $he did not mind the students% slowness in learning new knowledge, but it did not mean that she was not strict with us. To make what we had learned strong, she often asked us to recall the knowledge in class. This was also a method to examine the homework she had assigned. In that case, we had to work hard so as to li!e up to her hope. $he is such an excellent teacher that we got so much from her, not only the knowledge but also kindness, diligence and appreciation for beauty. "ll these will be useful to all my life. $he could see I study hard but didn&t get good grade, she called into her office one day, ga!e me a chair, we seated on chair and started talk, she asked me how I think about learning English, and how many hours I spent on English e!ery way some thing like this. I answered these 0uestion !ery carefully. I e!en told the story i recall my from my memory of elementary school time. $he help me almost e!ery afterschool time for free, at first , I cann&t belie!e this, and she stared from the basic stuff. $he taught me the basic dialogue and grammar again, she recommended some interesting book of "merican culture, she talked about her experience when she was in "merica for school. "nd I was !ery positi!e and passion with learning

English since then. My hard works got paid, I got full point on my final exam. I was so happy. I couldn&t wait tell this breaking news to my parent. $ince that time, I know the way how i study English well. I was so happy. but she told mt don not be pride, I need work on my !ocabulary,"nd keep on hard work. I wrote many English sticknotes and stick them on that stuff. It&s helping me remember words. $he also told me watch "merican T1 shows is a really good way to know how "merican daily life, how they talk and how they express themself. $o I watch lots of English mo!ies so that my listening skills is going straight up. Till now, I still ha!e the passion of learning English from that time. Thank for e!erything Mrs. ,hang did to me. "nd *ust keep confident to yourself. 2eeping mo!ing forward and find a right teacher to teach, it&s !ery important. "nd learning English is not a short term&s work. It&s a long process. Though it is hard work, I belie!e I am the person who can persist in learning, and smiling at last.
