(Mikhailangelo Llanos, Kevin Pena, Ariel Reynante, Aimee Ruiz) The Issue at Hand The foster care system (The System) is overly impacted Just like kittens and puppies get adopted first. As kids grow up in The System, their chances of being adopted decrease tremendously Most of the time if a kid is still in The System by the time they become a teenager, or enter as a teen, they wont be adopted When these teens reach the age of 18, they often experience many disadvantages early on in their adult life The more teens that can be saved from such a fate by being adopted into caring families even if they arent the most perfect can literally save a kids life and will at the very least change both yours and their futures.
