Teaching Experience-

Junior Experience: Savannah High School from 02/2013-04/2013.
-I worked with the top symphonic ensemble at Savannah High School on
preparing for their spring concert and contest.

Senior Experience: Park Hill Middle/High School from 02/2014-05/2014.

-I assisted in all aspects of operating a middle/high school band program. I
worked with every major ensemble at Park Hill, as well as many smaller groups
and solos. I prepared pieces with every ensemble for the April concerts, as well
as working with the Park Hill Jazz Band in preparation for their Jazz Cafe
performance at Zona Rosa Shopping Center. I was also given the opportunity to
help run the MSHSAA State Large Group Festival that Park Hill was the host of.
This was one of the most valuable aspects of my student teaching experience
because I was exposed to dozens of various groups and directors. During this
festival I was given the opportunity to proctor the sight reading room, which
was an extremely valuable experience because I was exposed to various
teaching styles.

School Experiences-

Symphonic Winds- I performed in the Missouri Western Symphonic Winds for four
years as an saxophonist. While in this ensemble I led consistent sectional
rehearsals as well as keeping a regular practice schedule for my personal practice
regiment.

Jazz Ensemble- I performed in the Missouri Western Jazz Ensemble for four years.
While in this ensemble I led consistent sectional rehearsals for saxophones as well as
spending much of my practice time developing my soloing technique under the direction
of Bob Long. Jazz was a major part of my education at Missouri Western. This ensemble
was also selected to perform at the MMEA Conference in 2011 and 2013.

Golden Griffon Marching Band- I marched in the Golden Griffon Marching Band for
four years, and served as drum major for an additional year. While in this ensemble I
ran sectionals for saxophones, as well as assisted with some administrative tasks
behind the scenes.
