Read the poem below. Identify if this poem is suitable to be taught to a
group of young leaners. Provide reasons for your choice of answer.
Once it was snowing.
Everything was cold.
Everything was asleep.
Then the sun came out and warmed the ground.
It started to rain.
Seeds under the ground started to grow.
Little caterpillars crawled around.
They curled up and turned into butterflies.
The sun got hotter.
The seeds grew to flowers.
Butterflies flew around.
It was spring.
