Project Managers Report

Summarize the stage's performance, highlight, challenges and key lessons learned. Assume that this
will be the only part of the report read, so ensure an accurate and meaningful summary of the project.

Review of Business Case

Validate whether the business case has been achieved both from a functional and expected benefits
viewpoint recognizing most benefits will not be realized until the project is completed. Pay particular
attention to the cost element of the business case to ensure that the updated project's costs are still in
line with management's approval.

Review of Stage Objectives

Review the stage's performance against schedule, budget, quality, risk, etc. How well did the stage
perform as compared to the baseline. A summary of the tolerances is often a key component of this
section of the report.

Review of Team Performance

Recognize the team's performance and what improvements can be made for the next stage. Make
recommendations for specific team members requiring special recognition.

Lessons Learned
List all lessons learned including root cause and recommendations for avoiding mistakes and repeating
successes.

Issues and Risks

Review and validate all open issues and risks for the project for ongoing relevance.

Updated Project Forecast

Recognizing that a detailed planning session will undertaken to plan the next stage, the End of Stage
report should update the project forecast to represent the current project forecast based on the results
of the completed stage.
