The master switch is a split rocker switch labeled MASTER that controls all electrical power on the airplane. The right half labeled BATT controls the battery, and the left half labeled ALT controls the alternator. Both sides of the switch operate simultaneously, but the BATT side can be turned on separately to check equipment while grounded, and placing the ALT side to OFF removes the alternator from the electrical system and puts the full load on the battery.

The master switch is split rocker type and labeled
MASTER , ON in up position and OFF in the down position.
Right half labeled Batt control all electrical power in the airplane and left half labeled ALT control the alternator .
Both side switch operates simultaneously.
BAT Side switch turn ON separately to check equipment while on the ground. The alternator side switch when placed OFF position remove the alternator form electrical system. The entire load will come to battery , continuously operation of ALT switch in OFF position will reduce battery power to low enough to open the battery contractor , remove power from alternator field and prevent alternator restart.
