PYP X Reflection

Throughout the process of putting together our presentation, we
realised how much work it would be. We needed to communicate with
each other and our mentor. We had to research, with the computer and
books. We had to write citations and highlight the important part in
the computer. We had to plan our activities (with 4A paper). Our
mentor helped us to plan our activities. Gesi did activity 2 and 3. I did
activity 1. Our mentor was really helpful. She helped us plan, layout and
go go to the right direction. If she wasnt here with us, I dont want to
even think what happened to us in PYP X. Once we forgot the mentor
meeting and she said its okay. We said sorry many times because she
wasted her time because of us.
In our PYP X, we had 3 activities. Our first activity that I did
was Do video games affect our behavior? We made a prezi, surveyed
parents, and also made fact sheet with some example of people who
was addicted to violent video games. The audiences didnt know what
was dangerous and if it affect the people next to it. So we showed
some example with a youtube video. Our 2nd activity is Do music video
affect our perception? we made a powtoon and did an experiment with
classmates. We showed them violent music videos and ask questions.
This data was useful because it showed that music video persuade
people. For activity 3, it was about Is there relationship between
censorship and changing perspective? we made prezi, and found 4
graphs about how movie censorship changed over time. We could
improved on activity 3 because we didnt really have time to work on it
so it was not kind of done.
After we did all of this, we had to present our P!Y!P! X! Yey! It
was on 19.05.14 which is May 19th 2014. We had to choose who says
what. First I had to say our topic. The central idea, lines of inquiry.
THen Gesi had to say about inquiry focus. Before the PYP X exually
started, I was really nervous and I almost went to bathroom 3 minutes
before we start PYP X. The most strange person who came was a lady.
She started to take picture of us just left For display I think it was
effective because many people came to our stand and said the display
was pretty. I dont think there is a thing that it needs to be improved
on display because our mentor helped the display. There was lots of
people who went to our stand but they just went even we didnt finish
talking. Some of them came and asked, Do you have sweets? then I
said Sorry, no then he said Oh! Come on! and went. So they just
went like that so we couldnt show them our prezi and powtoon. Also
when I asked Gesi if I can go and look at others, he said yes. When I
came back there was Mrs. M there and Gesi gone! The reason I asked
he was to stay here at the booth. Our attention grabber was the
summative task skit. We just played on and it did work! There were lots
of people after we turned on the summative task skit. I really liked PYP
X and I had lots of fun. But Ill never say I want PYP X again because it
is enough to have one PYP X in my life.
