The Concept

‘One Hundred Thousand and Fifty Thousand’ is an exhibition where the

title had long been conceived before the process. why i stress on the
title is because of the many elements attached to it—various roadblocks
while executing my ideas and rolling them into action; a pre-conceived
myth attached to the title that did not elicit the expected response—but
i doggedly determined onwards, for i truly believed that this was one
exhibition that would break away from the stereotype that price is a
benchmark that one should not mention.

the exhibition provides a platform for undiscovered talent and is also an

incredible opportunity for art connoisseurs to purchase art from an art
show, where the discounts are already planned within the reduced price
of Rs. 100, 000 and Rs. 50,000. collecting artwroks from all across the
country, from artists of repute at this price bracket, was the most
difficult yet the most interesting part of organising this exhibition.

thus, i present you this show of spectacular forms, magnificent textures

and myriad hues that to me define the very meaning of growing indian
contemporary art — ‘One Hundred Thousand and Fifty Thousand’,
conceptualized as a one-stop exhibition without a price list.

please enjoy the show.
