To Whom It May Concern,

This letter of reference is written to highlight the large impact Andrea MacMurray has had on
the preschool students at Mt. Caesar Elementary in Swanzey, NH. As the lead teacher in an
inclusive preschool classroom, Andrea models patience, kindness, out of the box thinking, and
empowerment.

With a strong love for inclusion, Andrea is unabashedly child driven: She remembers the details
that are important to each child, she advocates for them and the children respond to her with
love and admiration. She is the pied piper of her classroom! It is obvious that she has a great
passion for teaching and guiding children. Inclusive classrooms can be stressful, but Andrea
keeps a calm attitude that shows the children that differences are to be respected and
celebrated. The children in her classroom truly care for each other. Andrea is a strong role
model and emulates the power of one. One adult can make a difference! Andrea is so deeply
rooted in her belief that all children are perfectly designed that she has learned sign language
to make sure one child in her class belongs to the community. Because of her, the other
children now know sign language and can communicate, play with and be a true friend. It has
changed this childs life!

Andrea is open to new ideas, suggestions, and strategies. She is willing to self-reflect and look
inward so the children in her care can thrive and be the best they can be. She believes in power
with children (not over children) and her classroom is a true indicator of her strength in reading
children. She has a natural ability to read their strengths, preferences, and needs and then puts
them first. She is able to naturally adjust to each child and in return, each child feels visible,
valued, and supported.

I highly recommend Andrea MacMurray as an educator, team member, and/or leader for any
school system driven to meet the social-emotional and educational needs of individual children.
