The United Nations and the Legacy of
World War II

The United Nations was formed after World War 2.
The United Nations replaced the League of Nation.
The UN pledges to use their full resources against the Axis and agreeing
not to make a separate peace.

Background
The UN represents the U.S political
and economic management. It
supports US decision making on
developing issues at the global level.
Purpose/Mission
The current secretary-general of the UN Is Ban Ki-
Moon.
There are 193 countries members in the UN.
The UN headquarters is located 18-acre site on the
east side of Manhattan.



Leadership and Membership.
The General Assembly is the main
deliberative,policymaking and representative organ of
the UN. The General assembly withholds 193 states of
the UN. Each member of the security council shall
have one vote. They make decisions by meeting
delegates of all the members and states. Giving a
speech on their countries and topics. Their main goal
is to form a resolution.If the format is correct and it
has the number of required votes the amendment of
the resolution is passed.

Security council has a responsibility
for the maintenance of peace and
security. 15 members of each
country sit on the security council.
The five permanent members are
China,France,Russia,United
Kingdom and the US.

The International court of justice is
located peace palace in the Hague
netherlands. The court has a twofold
role to settle in accordance with
international laws and legal disputes
submitted from the contentious cases.

WHO is located in the headquarters in
Geneva,switzerland.The types of works are piped
water connections in peoples homes. According
to a new WHO/unicef reports show a diminishing
gap in access to purified water and better
sanitation between rural and urban areas.
World health Organization
United Nation International Children Emergency fund
is what UNICEF stands for. It was created to provide
food and healthcare to children in countries
destructed by WWII. UNICEF works with families and
communicates with the government.We work with
More than 190 countries worldwide to protect and
promote for all children. It helps the government build
schools, train teachers and provide textbooks so every
child can receive an education.

One thing is that UNICEF provides food and
healthcare to children in countries by
WWII. Another thing is the UN was formed
to the league of nations. Thirdly the UN
represents the US political and economic
management.
