The leaflet also explains how the Partnership addresses security issues, how Rus sia can benefit from the integration of the EaP countries into the wider Europea n economy, and offers answers to other most frequent questions that arise as the Eastern Partnership evolves.
The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint initiative of the EU and Eastern Europe an partner countries that brings the eastern neighbours closer to the EU. Six co untries participate in the EaP Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, a nd Ukraine with 2.5 billion available from the EU Budget over the period 2010-13, and a further 4.1 billion leveraged from European Financial Institutions through the Neighbourhood Investment Facility (NIF).
