HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Problem:
All the tasks done in a hotel are manual, i.e., all the works are done by the employees are
figured on papers, registers, etc. That is, there is a lot of paper work, which creates the
problem of handling and summarizing all such work in an efficient way. It also leads to the
problem of employing a large staff since there is huge paper work.
Thus, there is a need of such a system, which resolves all these problems so that the handling
all the work could become easier.
Solution:
Making an automated system which can be run on a computer and capable of solving all the
above problems so as to minimize the paper work. It will also solve the problem of hiring a
large staff.
Requirements:
For a hotel there are commonly the following reuirements!
Management of "ooms
Management of #uests
Management of #oods, etc.
Management of $alaries
Managing Rooms:
There may be two types of rooms in a hotel, viz, single bedroom and double bedroom.
There should be information in the system that which rooms are occupied and which are
vacant.
Also the system should inform about the guest for which a particular room is occupied.
The system should also keep the details of the maintenance e%penditure that has been
incurred on a particular room.
The system should also generate monetary reports regarding the collection of rent from the
rooms time to time.
Managing Guests:
The system should also keep the followings regarding the guests!
&. The personal details of each guest.
'. The details regarding the room occupied by a particular guest.
(. #enerating reports regarding the defaulters of paying the rent.
). The details about the departure of a guest.
Managing Goods, etc:
The system should also keep the details regarding the furniture, etc. to be used in the rooms.
It should also keep details about the stock of available food.
Managing Salaries:
The system should also keep track about the staff salaries, i.e.!

Also, the system should generate the reports regarding the salary of each employee.
