Lesson Four

Music of the Great Depression

Objectives: Students will analyze music from the G.D. They will also
critique and describe the meaning of the song, by answering questions.

Standards: Common Core Standards
Reading Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies 6-12

secondary sources, attending to such features as the date and origin of
the information.

groups to brainstorm on different
back ground ideas for the
background music for their song.

students to decide what type of
background music and song they
might want to write a sad, happy
or fast song.

Step 5: Teacher will instruct
student to start producing their
background music for their song.

the background song and
working together.
