1. Review of Action Items from last meeting: Wanda will submit an OT referral for a sensory profile for Nicholas Clark Wanda asked Anna (EA) to be with Nicholas during the transition at dismissal Wendy & Heather changed Annas EA schedule to include scheduled regular time in 2 Shore to support Nicholas Julie spoke to Nicholas & his mother & will follow up again with both about some parenting supports & suggestions Adele (homeroom teacher) has observed Tom Owens in different situations in and around school to identify triggers Adele is providing Tom with attention before he requires (or demands) it Julie had sent home a DVD with Tom and Nicholas on relationships and manners
2. Update/Sharing from Administration: -Staff meeting has been changed to May 28 and class time PLCs have been switched to May. 21 st
-Positive feedback has been shared about the school beautification Positive feedback from teachers regarding Writers in the School Program(WISP) with Robert Rayner as the visiting author Long term maintenance of the building
3. Update/Sharing from EST- Resource: Great Leaps Fluency and EAs-Wanda will continue with the program for the following school year and provide a refresher training session for the EAs. SLPs piloted an in-class approach this year and went well
4. Update/Sharing from EST-Guidance: -Tim Hortons Camp applications were submitted in January for grade 4 and 5 students who met the financial criteria. Two students will be attending -Eight Rainbow Groups were conducted this past year. Linda Riley (Grade 3 teacher) has volunteered to help with the groups for next year as she is trained. A refresher of Rainbows will be available for Linda. Logistics of scheduling a group for Linda will need to be sorted out
5. Update/Sharing from EST- Literacy (optional): ELF (Elementary Literacy Friends) volunteer program was a success this year and grade 2 students who participated made gains in their reading level. It was recommended that the new EST- Literacy for next year be made aware of the program so it can continue. WISP was a very successful endeavor with all students benefitting from the experience. Robert Rainer interacted well with the students and classes were attentive and well behaved. Dawn recommended that school re-apply for a grant next year.

10. Individual Students (SEP/Behavior Plan updates): Follow-ups: Michael Hill -Things seem to be going well with his EA Edwin Ellis- Transferring out of FI to Gr. 5 English. Josh Black- Julie spoke to his mother and they (parents) arent concerned with his lack of speech as his older sister was similar at his age and she has developed

SLP ( Speech language Pathologist) will be meeting with the ESST next week to update her caseload & set priorities going forward Follow up meeting on Nicholas Clark & Tom Owens scheduled for May 21 , 2014 Jennifer will update new EST-L on literacy school initiatives (ELF and WISP) James will update new EST-G on guidance initiatives (Rainbows and Tim Horton Camps)
