We need carbohydrates to
improve our digestive system.

This consists of bread, rice,
wheat, oats and crackers.

We need 252 472g daily for
our energy needs.



PROTEIN


We need protein to produce our
haemoglobin and maintain our
bodily tissues.

Its found in fish, eggs, dairy and
nuts.

We need around a gram for
every kilo we weigh

FATS


We need fats for a healthy diet,
they help our brain and they
develop our nervous system

Consists of butter and meat

We need 30% of daily calories


WATER

Water keeps you hydrated and
we need it to help our blood
cells and immune systems.

Its found in tomatoes and
everything else that grows.

We need at least 6 cups a day.


MINERALS

Minerals help you to grow and
sustain a normal heart beat.

It consists of iron, potassium,
zinc, calcium, dairy, veges,
meat, tuna and salmon.

We need minerals daily.
VITAMINS

They help our body work
properly and we need vitamins
to grow.

Theyre found in milk, carrots,
oranges and leafy greens.

We need vitamins sometimes
daily, unless you eat healthy.
DAILY FOOD PLAN FOR A TEENAGER
To Eat
Breakfast: Cereal, toast, pancakes,
bacon and eggs.
Morning Tea: A snack or two such as a
biscuit and some crackers.
Lunch: A sandwich and another snack.
Afternoon Tea: Some fruit and maybe
some dairy.
Dinner: Vegetables, meat and possibly
some fruit.
Supper: Some biscuits.

To Drink
Breakfast: Some milk, water or juice
Morning Tea: Some water
Lunch: Some water
Afternoon Tea: Water or juice (only if you
didnt have juice for breakfast ).
Dinner: Water
Supper: Hot drink such as milo or tea.

WHY?
Benefits

You wont have any heart/body
conditions when youre older.

You will be fit and healthy.

You will feel good about yourself.



Risks (negative)

If you dont watch your eating you could
have a serious heart/body condition.

You wont be as productive because
youre unfit and NOT healthy.

You wont feel good about yourself and
regret not eating healthier.
