Blast from the Past
Colleen OBrien recounts how trials were held during the 1960s in
Broken Hill with the BHABODC.
Trialling in the 1960s (the
first decade of our clubs
history), was similar to the
trialling we do today.
In the 60s, trials were held
both in Broken Hill at the
Hillside Sports ground and
interstate with many of our
members travelling to
Adelaide to trial.
Colleen outlines that the goals, classes
and requirements of trialling fifty years
ago was similar to that of today and the
participation rates have remained at a
fairly constant level.
Due to the fact that these trials were
conducted almost fifty years ago, we
have limited photos and information. If
you have any photos or information,
feel free to contact us so we can
include it in our archive.
