1. This document describes the process of dyeing a polyester/cotton blend fabric using disperse and vat dyes in a one bath, two-step process.
2. First, the polyester fibers are dyed using disperse dyes via a high temperature, high pressure (HTHP) method while the vat dyes remain dissolved in the dye bath.
3. Next, reduction clearing and matting treatments are used to fix the disperse dyes on the polyester while also making the vat dyes soluble so they can dye the cotton fibers in the same bath. Additional steps include oxidation, soaping, rinsing, drying.
