ADMISSION NOTICE UNDERGRADUTE COURSES (2008-Entry)

Applications are invited from the candidates for all categories for admission to the following
undergraduate courses:

Main Campus Taxila

1. Civil Engineering
2. Computer Engineering
3. Electrical Engineering
4. Mechanical Engineering
5. Software Engineering
6. Telecommunication Engineering
Sub Campus Chakwal
7. Electronics Engineering
8. Mechatronics Engineering
Note: Hostel facility is not available at Sub Campus Chakwal

1. Eligibility

FSc (Pre-Engineering) or its equivalent examination passed up to annual 2008 with a

a)
minimum of 60% marks, excluding NCC, Hifz-e-Quran marks, where applicable.
FSc with Math, Physics and Computer Science as major subjects are eligible only for
b)
admission to Computer Engineering & Software Engineering.
c) Domicile of the Punjab province.
Diploma in relevant technology passed from the Punjab Board of Technical Education
d)
Lahore (for seats reserved for the diploma holders).
Should have appeared in the combined entry test at any centre conducted by UET,
e)
Lahore.

2. Prospectus including Application Forms shall be available at a cost Rs.300/- per copy on all the
working days from 24th August to 05th September 2008.

a) Habib Bank Ltd. UET Taxila Branch from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon
b) Stall of the University on the day of Entry Test i.e. 24th August 2008 only.

The prospectus can also be obtained by post sending bank draft of Rs. 400/- issued by any branch of
Habib Bank Ltd. in favor of the Treasurer, University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila payable at Habib
Bank Ltd. UET Taxila Branch. Cheques are not acceptable.

3. Starting date for receipt of applications 24th August 2008.

4. Last date for receipt of applications 05th September 2008.
5. The application may be submitted by hand or by post.

By Hand: in the Admission Office (Civil Engineering Block), UET Taxila on all working days (Monday
through Saturday) from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm (up to 4.00 pm on the last day) along with four self
addressed stamped envelopes.
By Post: to the Convener, Admission Committee under Registered post or any courier service along with
four self addressed stamped envelopes.
