To Whom It May Concern,
I have been working closely with Ashley Walshe at Monbulk College in my
capacity as Special Education Coordinator. During his time at Monbulk College
Ashley has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the education and welfare
of the students in his care. He has worked as an Education Support Officer and
has assisted funded Integration students with special needs including students
with an Acquired Brain Injury, Learning Difficulties, Behavioural Issues,
Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Ashley has always
demonstrated a high standard of professionalism in his dealings with students
and actively sought feedback in order to improve and enhance his performance.
He has become a mentor for students, particularly in the Junior School Levels.
He maintains ongoing documentation of his activities and demonstrates an
exceptional level of organisational skills.
Ashley is also actively involved in Student Support Group meetings and utilises
his knowledge and first -hand experience in order to make valuable contributions
towards goal setting for students in the Student Support Group meetings. He also
willingly participates in extra-curricular activities, including coaching the Year 8
Boys Volleyball team for Monbulk College and gives up his free time in order to
do this. In addition Ashley has been utilised in Physical Education classes and has
worked with our Year 10 Advanced Physical Education group.
Ashley has always worked well as part of a team and has also demonstrated a
high level of commitment towards improving the learning outcomes of students.
He displays initiative in his educational endeavours and this will hold him in good
stead for a teaching position in the future. I have no hesitation in recommending
