    Steps
    1. Principalsconsultwithteachers/teamstocustomizedesignateditemson
    theFundamentalSupplyList.

    2. Schoolssendliststofamiliesthroughmultiplemethods(e.g.,mail,email,
    socialmedia)assoonaspossible.

    3. Principalscollectteacherslistsofitemsneededforclassroomsthatarenot
    ontheFundamentalSupplyList.

    4. Principalsreviewthelistsandorderneededitems,consistentwiththeir
    schoolsSBDMpolicies.

    5. Principalsshouldcontacttheirareaassistantsuperintendentsofficeifthey
    needtofurtherexaminebudgetsinordertopurchasesuppliestosupport
    classrooms.

    ImportantNotes
    Wishlistitemsshouldnotberequestedfromfamilies.Thesemaybe
    submittedtotheprincipalalongwithanyotherneededitemsnotonthe
    FundamentalSupplyList.

    Ifateacherhasaspecialprojectduringtheyear,aprojectlistmaybesent
    homefordonations.Forexample,ifaclassisplantingagarden,aproject
    listmightincludeseedpackets,awateringcan,andatrowel.Afamilymay
    makeadonationtothisproject.

    BoardPolicy09.15states:ThePrincipalshallreviewanysupplylistsor
    writtenrequestsforsuppliestobepurchasedbyparentspriortosuchlists
    orwrittenrequestsbeingsenttoparents.
