Prayer for JULY 28, 2014

Our Father in Heaven, You are the true source of wisdom, strength, and success!
As the Senate starts its sessions today, we ask for Your help. Please bless all our
efforts here so that we may be able to perform all our tasks and live up to the
challenges ahead of us.
We pray for good health. We pray for the humility to accept our limitations in
knowledge, time, and resources. We pray for the generosity to share what we have
and what we know. We pray for the desire to find ways to excel in our work. Please
help us to work together. Bless us with the virtue of selflessness so that we will
encourage each other to excellence.
The typhoon season has started and a strong typhoon had just ravaged parts of our
country. We beg You, Lord, to save our people from more harm. Give the Filipino
People the resiliency to work for, and the optimism to look forward to, a better
tomorrow.
Nonetheless, Lord, we take time to thank You for the positive signs of progress and
development that are evident in many places of our country.
We also thank You for the continued support of our trusted allies and friends in
securing our sovereignty over the outlying parts of our country.
We ask You, Lord, to lead this Senate and our country forward.
May the result of all our efforts here be just as You are just.
But over and above all else, we pray that even as we continue our work as your
Senators to advance the well-being of our country and people, You will never let us
forget that nothing good in this world will happen without Your guidance and
blessing.
Thus, we beg of You to guide and bless us in the things that we do for God and
country, now and forever more.
