This workshop will explore the basics of collaborative research, help you
conceptualize a research agenda to complement and enhance your organizations
work, and suggest ways that you can partner with Loyola or other universities to
support your research efforts.

Legal Issues in Academic Internships

In light of recent challenges to internship programs, employers are continuing to be
confused by their obligations in setting up and managing these programs. This session
will explore employment law issues and best practices for organizations that host or
are considering hosting student interns.

Volunteers and interns can be a tremendous asset to your organization, but problems
can arise! In this workshop, we will discuss ways to PREVENT many of the common
mishaps but will also discuss best practices of how to quickly and professionally
resolve any conflicts or disputes.
