Volunteered during therapies and daily activities with individuals who had a variety of
disabilities and health impairments.
Access Grant (Service Learning Program) August 2014-Present
Worked with a group in an inclusion art classroom with students with severe and profound
disabilities on a service learning opportunity called Bens Bells in addition to observations in
Chicago Public School Special Education classrooms.

Assisted with coaching responsibilities bi-weekly including discipline, social skills, and
fundamental sport activities as well as one-on-one work with individual athletes.

grade level students with learning disabilities with the goal of recognition of
previous mathematical concepts and understanding at the correct grade level as well as review
of fundamental topics.
Northwest Special Recreation Association Volunteer August 2013
Volunteered through a non-ambulatory camp with various young adults through activities such
as inclusionary games, crafts, field trips (ex: laser tag), feeding, and changing. Emphasis was
placed on the care of the individual as well as adapting activities so that everyone was able to
equally participate.


The Learning Express Toys August 2011-May 2013
Sales associate at a toy store that emphasizes educational fun for a variety of ages, abilities, and
skill sets that workers need to be familiar with in order to meet the specific needs of the child
and to provide effective and appropriate customer service.

A club that focuses on the needs of students in teacher education programs to facilitate growth
outside of what our professors teach us.

Developed a friendly relationship with an individual in the community to facilitate social

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Arrowhead Golf Club Banquet Server May 2013-Present
Worked on various events such as golf outings, memorial luncheons, and weddings. Emphasis
was placed on the needs of the individual running the events and specifics regarding the party.
Great attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to function under high stress situations
was crucial.
Alpha Xi Delta January 2013-Present
A sorority, which focuses on individual growth of women and instills values such as
academic excellency, pride in philanthropy (Autism Speaks), nurtures cooperation, and
staying humble through success. Allowed for leadership opportunities, constant teamwork,
and volunteer opportunities both locally and nationally. Leadership positions included
Marketing Alpha Xi Chair and Decorations Committee Head.
The Odyssey-UIUC January 2014-Present
Worked as part of the Greek newspaper on campus at part of the social media team sending out
weekly polls and leading online contests as well as participating as the philanthropy liaison with
the Panhellenic Council.
