Few qualities of Abu Bakr (ra) accepted by Shias, and then their excuses to devalue them as well

1. Abu Bakr (ra) was from the first hundred Muslims


Shia excuse: He embraced Islam after hearing from a fortune teller that the Prophet (S) was to
become a great ruler.

2. Abu Bakr (ra) freed Bilal, and many other slaves.
Shia excuse: Not available.

3. Abu Bakr (ra) accompanied the Prophet (S) on his migration
Shia excuse: The Prophet (S) went before him, and Abu Bakr (ra) later ran after him. The Prophet
(s) had to go with him because Abu Bakr (ra) would have informed Kuffar.

4. Abu Bakr (ra)'s children brought food to the Prophet (S) on their stay in the mount of Thawr.
Shia excuse: Not available

5. The Prophet (S) married Abu Bakr (ra)'s daughter
Shia excuse: The Prophet (S) married the daughters of his enemies as well.

6. Abu Bakr (ra) was chosen and accepted as the caliph by all the Muhajireen and Ansar except two
or three (according to Shia version)
Shia excuse: All of them apostated.

7. Abu Bakr (ra) didn't appoint his son as a successor
Shia excuse: He preferred Omar over his children.

8. Abu Bakr (ra) spent his wealth in the way of Allah until nothing remained with him
Shia excuse: Not available.

9. Abu Bakr (ra) fought against the apostates including Musailma, the liar
Shia excuse: Not available.

10. The Prophet (S) said while Abu Bakr (ra) was with him (Don't worry, Allah is with us)
Shia excuse: Abu Bakr (ra) was afraid for his life, as the Kuffar were near (notice its contradiction
with # 3).

11. The Prophet (S) died in the house of Ayesha, the daughter of Abu Bakr (ra) and he chose it as
his last place
Shia excuse: Not available

12. Ali (ra) rendered allegiance to Abu Bakr (ra)
Shia excuse: Ali was forced.
