What aspects of the teaching or content of this course were especially effective? The tours of the city and all of the sight seeing was completely amazing. 1. For some of the sites we visited, Dr. Polando gave us additional information about the site and made it more interesting. 2. The small science- and scientist-themed museums and monuments were great! 3. Professor's Klein and Polando both knew a great deal about everything involving London and effectively passed on this knowledge to us. 4. The readings and corresbonding questions, when done ahead of time, helped when seeing the related museum. 5. What changes could be made to improve the teaching or Manchester University Course Evaluation Reports https://gateway.manchester.edu/_layouts/course_evaluation_reports/... 2 of 3 5/12/14, 12:10 PM the content of this course? There should be one free day to do anything you want, as long as it means going out on the town. This would help get assimilated into the culture and teach us how to act and let us learn for ourselves what the culture is really like. It would provide a chance for us to blend in 1. none 2. The text-reader conversion of the reading material made some parts of the reading a little hard to understand, but other than that, everything was great. 3. Nothing really, it was a blast 4. I do not know. It would have been nice if their was student input in where we ate our meals. Also, having a bit more time to sleep would have been nice. I know that I was constantly tired for the majority of the trip, so having a bit more sleeping time would have helped me concentrate and retain things from the museums. 5.
