1.0 CHANNEL SELECTION
Step Description
1.1 Push [169] shortly to select Channel 16.










2.1 Push [CH/WXDUAL] to return to the
condition before selecting Channel 16.









3.1 Push [] or [] to select operating
channel.

2.0 RECEIVING CALL
Step Description
2.1 Rotate [VOL] to turn the power ON.










2.2 Set the audio and squelch levels.
2.1 Rotate [SQL] fully counter-clockwise
in advance.
2.2 Rotate [VOL] to adjust the audio
output level.
2.3 Rotate [SQL] clockwise until the
noise disappears.

To change the channel group, push both
[] and [] on the transceiver.

Push [] or [] to select the desired
channel.

3.0 TRANSMITTING CALL
Step Description
3.1 Push [HI/LO] on the microphone to select the output power if
necessary.

Push and hold [PTT] to transmit, then speak into the
microphone.

Release [PTT] to receive.

4.0 SETTING TAG CHANNELS
Step Description

Select the desired channel group (USA,
INT, CAN) by pushing both [] and [].










4.2 Select the desired channel to set as a tag channel.

Push [SCANTAG] for 1 Sec to be set
the displayed channel as a tag channel.

To cancel the tag channel setting, push
[SCANTAG] for 1 Sec.

5.0 SCANNING CHANNELS
Step Description
5.1 Set tag channels as described above.
5.2 Make sure the squelch is closed to start a
scan.









5.3 Select the channel group (USA, CAN,
INT) by pushing both [] and [] on the
transceiver, if desired.

To stop the scan, push [SCANTAG].
