The seven member networks of Easy Net met for a review of Easy Net activities. The

th
. The representatives of the following networks were present for the meeting: Asia and
Pacific Alliance of YMCAs (APAY), Christian Conference of Asia (CCA), International

International Young Christian Workers (IYCW) and World Student Christian Federation Asia
Pacific (WSCF-AP), The World Young Womens Christian Association (YWCA) apologised
for not being able to present in the meeting.

The main agenda of the meeting was to review the ongoing activities and set up the future
direction and action plans of Easy Net. The Core Team (CT) members upheld the
significance of the Easy Net to work together in the current context. The collective affirmation
was to continue to promote the grassroots ecumenism through a deeper understanding of
the realities as well as a common desire to confront the challenges facing the youth and
students.

The CT members felt the need to address the following three thematic areas in the coming
years:
1. Eco- justice
2. Peace Education- Interfaith perspectives
3. Protection of youth (quality education, job protection, disable
concerns)
In order to strengthen the grassroots ecumenism the members came up with plans to carry
out the activities in 3 different levels:
A. Common Project/ Programmes/ Activities of Easy Net
B. Invite and engage the network in each organizational programmes/ activities
C. Continue the ongoing Network through the CT members.
One of the major discussions of the meeting was to own the Easy Net activities by the
networks. Hence the decision was to initiate and coordinate the common programmes of
Easy Net by the networks itself. Each thematic area will be focused for 2 years, and the
thematic area for 2015-2016 is Eco-Justice. According to the programme planning there will
be 2 ToTs on Eco-Justice in regional level and 2 ToTs in national level, intend to train
around 80 youth and students in AP region between 2015-2016.
