ABSTRACT

TITLE: THE ERUDITE MUSIC AND ITS EVOLUTION SEEN THROUGH THE CLARINET AS A
CONCERT INSTRUMENT. *

This project proposes the selection, analysis and interpretation of four representative works of the
erudite music for clarinet, in the classical, romantic, and neo-classical periods respectively, seeking
particular qualities that characterize them and allow contextualizing each of these works through the
musical performance. As its name suggests this study aims to recognize the evolution of the erudite
music from the periods mentioned above, taking into account interpretive, technical, morphological,
and historical aspects, among others.

Within the objectives proposed for the development of this project lies among others, performing a
recital that enables to experiencing the interpretive components of each of the work in a direct way.
The show becomes an effective way for the development of musical instrumentalists who see in this
a very good option to project and socialize the result of his musical work. Collaterally to this goal, it
seeks to foster the practice of this instrument as well as generate spaces for socializing through
music.
In addition, this work includes important aspects such as the historical connotation, biography of
composers, morphological analysis and a series of technical and interpretative recommendations
that are expected to help improve the assemblage of future instrumentalists.
