parameters. ISI, ISO and BSES
are some of the modern day
safety administrators that ensure
a standardized legislation that
ensures that the wires can be
used in machineries all over the
world without any error. They
are also recognized and approved
by the standards of European
Council.
Stranded Copper wires are
commonly categorized
based on the form of
coating done on their
surface and the nature of
insulation provided over
them. The common wires

Construction and applications of Stranded wires
Stranded copper wires can be
laid in multiple rope-like bands
or individual strands composed
of soft drawn copper wires
coated with tin. Each rope strand
is made up of fine threads of
copper laid like woollen spool.
Stranded copper may be
available in bare copper or in
insulated wire.
Stranded copper spools have
resistance against abrasion and
offer insulation against chemical
properties and flames. They have a
high temperature rating between
225 degrees centigrade to 227
degrees centigrade. The
construction ensures maximum
conductivity and fine flexibility.
