Noun: is a person, place or thing and there are 2 kinds of nouns, proper and common.
(I know there is lots of other nouns
but these are Big ones) Proper noun gives people, places, objects, and special events their proper names For example, there are Mrs. Edge, and United States of America and if you noticed, you need to capitalize starting of the proper noun Common nouns are nouns that name something usual For example, there are teacher and country and as you noticed, teacher and country are common nouns for Mrs. Edge, and United States of America, Adjectives: adjective describe the noun or adverb or adjective itself. If I say bear, its a noun, but I could say brown bear and brown is describing the noun so its adjectives. For another example, I could say dog, but I could say good dog, good is describing what kind of DOG is that DOG so its an ADJECTIVE. Verb: tells us what something is doing, like Mrs. Edge says stop talking Korean!! to my class. Say is verb, it tells what is Mrs. Edge is doing. There are 3 kinds of verbs; most of them are easy, lets look at them Action verb: express actions. Action is the movement, how things change its positions. For example, there are shout, run, and laugh because they tells you what actions are they doing. Shout makes sound so thats an action verb; run is the movement of your body, the action so its an action verb. We all got it; lets move to a tricky part. Linking verbs: is linking a noun, the subject, to give more information, with noun, adjective, or pronoun(which we hadnt learn) It does not express actions but it gives more information by linking it to some other things and it could even connected to an action verb. Linking verbs could be be verbs is, are, am (or past tenses of it) or to feel or to become or to remain or to taste or to seem or to appear or to look or to sound or to stay or to smell or to grow and you need to MEMORIZE THEM, and how do you know that they used to feel or etc. for linking verb or adjectives? What you could do is that you could put BE verbs instead of that to feel or etc. and it will make sense if it is to feel or etc. Here are some examples of linking verb used in the sentence. mom is angry. Is is a linking verb and its telling us that mom is what. We had long time here, lets move on. On more to go Helping verbs: helps verbs kinds of like adjectives, but on perfect verb tenses. There are 23 helping verbs, and you may search up on internet for that. For example, I have finished washing the dishes. Has a helping verb, have. Have helps finished to make the sentence structure clear, so its a helping noun Adverb: adverbs are describing a verb not like a HELPING VERB because helping VERB is a VERB. Adverb is what added to the verb so its not a VERB. So it describes the verb, like an adjective. For example, kite glided through the air. Glided is a noun and through is adverb cause its describing what noun doing and you are going to ask whats the air? Remember I said adjective could describe adverb too? Its describing what is glided through, the air! And now you got some of the grammar and you got through all of them, end of the document. bye!!
