II. TOPIC: By the end of my speech, I want to have informed you all on
3 things: why bullying happens, why it should not happen, and what we
can do to prevent/not promote it.

a.) Why does bullying happen?
1.) Bullyingstatistics.org suggests that some individuals bully due to social issues/awkwardness.
Bullies receive a better response from negative behavior rather than good.
Therefore, bullying becomes their escape and they continue to do so.
2.) Family issues
Unloving families
Strict or inconsistent disciplinary homes
3.) Having power
When I hear this, I automatically think of jocks
ALL jocks are not bad!
But many are given power based on athleticism and have NOT been taught basic morals
and respect
AS A RESULT, they misconstrue the power and force it upon people.
b.) WHY SHOULDNT IT HAPPEN?
1.) ITS IMMORAL! We are ALL of the same race! (BET THAT WOKE YOU UP) (Well, what do I
mean by that?)
We are all of the HUMAN RACE!!
This makes me no better than you nor you better than I!
2.) Aside from bullying being morally wrong, it also has effects on the victim.
They become reclusive; avoid all interactions
Low self-esteem
Some harm themselves (i.e. cutting or burning themselves)
Gardianlv.com states that bullying can also cause life-lasting, mental issues for victims
c.) WHAT CAN WE DO?
1.) Crisisprevention.com states that one should have a clear understanding of what bullying
actually is.
Sometimes we dont realize that were actually bullying (i.e. laughing/smirking)
2.) Treat every person like they are YOU
I guarantee you youll treat people right then
3.) Think about how you would feel if you or someone in you loved were being mistreated
In the video, it took the guys sister being bullied to make him realize the errors of his
ways.
V. Conclusion : Hopefully you guys are now aware of my 3 points:
why bullying happens, why it shouldnt, and what we can do to prevent
it!

We are all human and should treat one another as such.
Your actions can negatively impact someone for the rest of their life.
Treat every individual like you would someone dear to you
