Sun stands in Mark's office, for the past ten minutes shes been trying to convince Mark to allow her to
return to duty.

Now Sun, I understand the doctors say youre ready to return to duty. But what I want to know is, are
you comfortable with that cybernetic arm?

Sun looks down at her replacement arm and smile. Sire, I earned it in combat, I am proud to have had
the chance to earn it!

I see, you know I can give you back you real arm. You dont have to keep that.

Sire, while you could do that, I dont want it, its a big honor to show your scars from combat. Sire, IM
a slave, I never expected to have the honor of combat, but you have made it possible for me.

Mark in a small vault off of his office, in it are many secure files, some blaster, and one large black box.
Looking at it reminds Mark. Yes, a promise made. It must be kept.

Mark turns and leaves the Vault. As he enters his office he finds Heather sitting behind his desk with a
silly smile on her muzzle.

Well hello there, and may I ask what are you up to?

Heather smiles. Today, Star taught me battle magic, I can now fight with you.

What do you mean no?! I worked hard to learn this stuff.

Honey, I will not allow you or any of my wives to fight. You will stay in the quarters and if needed, help
defend it.

Why cant I fight? I not a scared child, I have powerful magic. I can defend myself.

Marks temper starts to rise. You can, prove it!

A thought and shes suspended nine feet off the ground, tumbling uncontrollability. Okay now, stop
me. Show me how you plan to get out of that.

Heather spins in a panic, her world spins around her, she just cant gain a way to stop it. MARK,
PPLLLEESSSEE SSTTTOOOOOPPPP MEEEEE!!!!!!

In a blink and shes seated back in Marks chair. Shes balling her eyes out. How could you! That was
mean!

Heather sweetie, I only spun you, just picture what could have really happened in combat. Star most
likely taught you very well. But learning and doing are two very different things.

I just wanted to help! You do all the fighting and all I do is sit and wait.

And what do you and the others do afterwards?

Well last time, we just comforted you afterwards. You were so sadden and heart broken. You needed

Mark smiles. Thats right, I needed your comfort, your love. You all are very important to me. Now
lets get you in a better mood.

An hour Later.

Mark enters his quarters. Servants move around the room.
Okay everyone, take a break. I want all of you sitting at the tables.

Around the room, all the servants gather and sit. Waiting to see whats going on. Mark walks over to the
Main door and types a code in.

Suddenly out of the ceiling drop ten automatic firing points, They consist of two rotary rail cannons each
and a full battle A.I. from the floor about twenty feet from all the doors rise blockades with firing
stations. They each have two pulse cannons to be handled by the guards. Along the wall vaults slide
open. Each full with hand to hand weapons, Blaster rifles, antifurson grenades, swords, rapiers, blaster
pistols and something complete new to them. Full combat droids.
Now listen up. We are going into combat, Rule one, you are not to leave the quarters, Rule two. All kits
and pups will be locked down in the nursery, its the most protected room on Luna. Three everyone will
be armed at all times once we enter combat. I know the blast doors are thick, and the chances are slim
that any Douhed get in here, but if they do. You need to protect yourself and any who cant in here. A
wave of a paw and several ghostly forms appear. What you see are sprit warriors, they are here to help
you if needed. So let me introduce to you.

Fang, the first Pride king. a ghostly form of a Saber tooth tiger steps forward, in his right paw, a double
bladed staff.

Darrg, The Mightiest of the wolves hunters of all times And ancient looking white wolf steps forward.
In his paw is a scythe.

Duud, the craftiest of the foxes. a Red Fox steps forward, in his paw and strapped to his forearms are
throwing daggers.

Sun Wu Kong AKA the Monkey King a primate AKA Fighting Buddha from a different world. A being
unknown to them steps forward with a red cudgel with gold banded ends in his paws.

My friends here will guide and help protect the children.

Everyone in the room gasp, never in their lives have they seen beings like this.

Now listen, when the blast doors drop, the walls and parts of the floor with glow red, do not enter
anyplace thats red.

In the middle of the room, one of the servants raises her paw.

Yes Minky? Whats your question?

Sire, what will happen if one of us does?

easy, you will be crushed. Any place thats red will have the gravity plating maxed out, that means the
gravity will be one thousands time higher.

Now will all of you file in line and enter the Vault, Find a weapon you are comfortable with. Vurrr
please come with me

Vurrr looks up and wonders why shes been singled out.
Im coming Sire

Okay Vurrr, follow me. Mark leads her into the nursery and they walk to the far end of the room. At
the far end of the room is a couple of doors, each with names and stations on them, first door reads ,
Nannys Sarah, Bloom and Petal, the second door Reads Servants, Sun and Flee, the last door reads,
Guards Hukkk and Yloo.

Mark walks up to the guards door and it automatically opens for him. Inside Yloo jumps up and stands
at full attention. Sire, if I knew, I would have been dressed.

Mark raises his paw. Relax Yloo, I know you greave your bother death. But I need your sword ready,
and I have a partner for you. Vurrr this is one of my guards for the kits and pups, He fought well and in
the end, lost his bother. Tonight though I plan to help both of you.

Both Pumas check each other out, Yloo notices Vurrrs branding. He heart longs to hold her.

I see you two have some feeling for each other. Mark touches each of them, a warm feeling over
comes them and they bond. Both jump back from the shock of the bonding.

Sire what have you done?!

Yloo, I did the one thing I can for both of you, shes now your mate. Fully bonded, I found a very ancient
law, one where I can give her as my Slave to one of my choosing as a mate, shes now yours for life. And
I made sure you two are fully bonded. Vurrr, you asked me in your time of need, and while it solved your
problems, you still regretted it, Shhh I know you do, this way youre once more free, and still under my
protection. Yloo here will take great care of you and he will love you also. This is now both of your room.
Now get ready. Vurrr, this is for you.

Mark holds out his paws, and a rapier shimmer into them. This was Hukkk, I know hell want you to
have it.

Vurrr reaches for the rapier and takes hold of it. Its razor sharp blade shimmers in the light, while she
tests the rapiers weight Mark reaches over to the wall panel and releases its locks. When the panel
slides open inside sits two Mark 7 high power full auto blasters. I hope you wont need them, but
theyre here if you need them, Now I will leave you two. Yloo, take care of her, you both need each
other.

Mark leaves them and heads back to the main hall where the others wait. After the doors slides close,
Mark places his paw on the door, the names shift to read now Guards and Mates Yloo and Vurrr.

As Mark reenters the main hall hes intercepted by Tina and SsErcace.

Tina Mark why are you arming all of them?

SsErcace Yes what are you planning?

I plan on making sure you all are protected as much as possible, we are going right into a major battle. I
plan on keeping you all as safe as possible.

But arming the slaves? SsErcace says.

Now love, you know to me they arent slaves, theyre servants and friends.

Are you expecting the Douhed to get in here? Tina asks.

Im hoping for the best, but planning for the worse, hopefully this is all a waste of time. But if
something goes wrong, I dont want you defenseless in here?

Mark turns his attention back to the room, all of the servants have some type of weapon. Now
everybody, heres what we are going to do, Each one of the sprit warriors are going to walk among you,
they are going to put you in groups and give you direction on what you will do and how to do it.

Mark, Tina and SsErcace watch the warriors split up and move thru the servants, picking the one who
will work out best with each other.

A few hours later.

Marks back in his office. He had all the kits and pups from other families on the ship prep to be moved
into his nursery.

Luna, I want a fail safe plan set into motion.

What do you want set up Sire?

I want ten nova missiles prep and ready, if all else fails, we will not leave anything for the Douhed.

Understood Sire. I have sent the orders forward and released ten units for deployment.

Good, Now I.

Joy steps into his office from the shadows. Mark, Ive seen what you did to those two.

Mark looks at her and smiles. Im betting you are referring to Yloo and Vurrr.

You know I am. That was sweet of you. But you did more. You bonded their hearts.

Something Fala told me about, just causing mating can create problems, but creating a loving family by
far makes for many loved kits.

But you could have given her many kits to love?

Sweetie, she wasnt happy, she would have never been truly happy. She will be happy now. And shes
safe.

Joy sits on Marks lap and cuddles. I wonder if she will feel as safe in his arms as I do in yours?

Mark smiles. She will feel as safe and loved. She has who she needs in her life. And so does Yloo.

Shortly both Mark and Joy doze off, Its been a long day.
