What skills have I learnt/ used?
I have learnt how to use blogger and scribd, as well as how to pinpoint the target audience of a
magazine using the presentation of features such as the masthead or coverline.

How do I feel about my progress?
I feel quite confident about my progress and how I am doing in class and independent study. I have
learnt new things and am trying to put them into effect in my work.

Strengths
I feel my strengths lie in the marketing area of media, as shown in my homework. I feel that I can
successfully describe how and why the company has decided to market their product, and I also feel
confident in using words such as synergy in a media context.

Weakness
My weakness would be with the analysing of the front covers, as I dont think I go into enough detail
about why a certain audience is targeted and how it is done so.

Areas of Improvement
I would like to improve my analysis of front covers.

Action Plan
I will do this by conducting research on magazines and their target audience and pinpointing where
the connections are.
