HYPOTHESIS
Alugbati gives good staining quality for routine hematological blood smears

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Can alugbati stain be used as haematological stain?
Does it stain all blood cells: erythrocytes, leukocytes, thrombocytes
What substance can enhance the staining properties of alugbati?
Does it provide differential staining of white blood cells(leukocytes)

To provide an alternative stain made from an alugbati that is common in the Philippines
To produce a less expensive stain for blood smears
To minimize the toxicity of the stain

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Future researchers, who will make a further study about bilirubin that might help
and may encourage them more to develop innovations the method used in the
study.
