3D printing is becoming more and more popular among the people
today. 3D printed bracelets, 3D printed guitars, and even 3D printed
cars! These are only a few of the things that have been created using this
technology. 3D printing is a relatively new technology, but according to
the tool company Dremel, 3D printing will soon be available in every
home. Dremel has created a compact 3D printer which they call the Idea
Builder. The Idea Builder will be coming to the market on November 3
rd

for $1000. Mac and Windows are both compatible with the Idea
Builders software which was developed with AutoDesk. When the
printer is connected to your computer you will be able to see a 3D
rendering of your project before it is printed and you will be able to
make adjustments where needed. Dremel has created a smaller and
easier to use printer then some of the other printers on the market today,
therefore it will be a product that even the common man or woman will
be able to use in their home.
When searching for 3D printing on Yahoo and Bing, Bing
provided me with the best results on my topic. Bings search engine
seems to be much more reliable to me then Yahoos and the description
of the results were much clearer. The result and images were actually
more appealing to me then Googles. Google is the original search
engine I used and now I wish I had gone to Bing first.
The article I found using Bing directly correlates with my original
article I found on Google in that it discusses how 3D printing is

becoming more readily available to the common man. The article was
written on September 20
th
, 2014. It had been posted only an hour before
I found it. The authors name is Rudy De Waele and he is said to be a
Technology Innovation Strategist so I believe the information he has
given to be reliable. The purpose of this article is to inform the reader
about 3D printing and how it will be a big change for us in the future.
By simple using the keyword 3D printing on Academic One
File, I was able to find many articles pertaining to my topic. For me
using the internet is much easier than going through various databases
on the CCBC website, its also just something Im used to. While using
the internet I was able to find more up to date articles on my topic, most
articles were being updated quite frequently. For the authority on the
articles I would say that the CCBC databases have more reliable sources
then the internet, although I was able to find some authors who appeared
to be legitimate.
