-For this project, we will be split into groups where

each member will have a specific job title.


-We will be answering question about Arcimboldos
life and influence on history.
- We also need to identify what Elements of Art are
used in his paintings.

Our art class has been exploring the art style of
Giuseppe Arcimboldo all semester.
Weve learned the Elements of Art and how to apply
them in our art works.
Weve made self-portrait collages made from the foods
we eat to see what familiar shapes our faces relate to.
Now we have the thrilling task of diving into the past to
learn even more about the artists impact on history!
A WebQuest is an exciting project
that allows us to search the Web
and learn more about the topics
weve been studying.


We will be breaking into 4 groups of 4 to
complete this exercise; pick your own groups.

Students will answer 5 questions about the
painting assigned to their group.

Questions will be based on discovering more
about Arcimboldos life and what Elements of
Art he used to create each artwork.

We will also conduct an in class critique to
discuss your final answers.
Questions for each group to answer:
1. Where was Arcimboldo born?
2. Who commissioned this piece?
3. What Elements of Art do you think were used
to create this?
4. What medium was used to create this piece?
5. What Principles of Design were used in the
piece?

The four groups are made up of four students who will be working together to
answer the 5 questions evaluating Arcimboldos artworks.
On a separate piece of paper, each student in the group needs to keep track
of their groups work, write down the 5 questions and your groups answers
use complete sentences when answering all questions.

Congratulations, you have officially completed this
exciting group project!
During this WebQuest, students have been able to find information about
Giuseppe Arcimboldos life, and what Elements and Principles of Art he
used to create lasting works of art.
Students used their knowledge to recall our previous lesson about the
Elements of Art and were introduced to the Principles of Art.
During the critique after the assignment is completed, students will
compare and contrast their groups painting to another groups answers.

Objective: Students will work together to identify Giuseppe Arcimboldos
contribution to Art History, and they will be able to identify which Elements of Art
were used in which paintings.

Upon completion of this WebQuest, students will be able to

a complete sentence that will enhance their paper writing
skills. Students will be able to locate and document web
addresses and present their findings in a group critique to
evaluate each others performances. Students will have
successfully worked collaboratively for this project.
