Since 2002, Rock Solid Technologies, Inc., the software development
company, has shown its interest in the development and retention of local
talent in Puerto Rico, establishing its scholarship program for students in a
Bachelors degree. The goal of the scholarship is to develop local talent and
reduce the "brain drain" from the Island, thus helping our economy and our
community.
Scholarships award includes: $1,500 plus a salaried summer job of at least
10 weeks. Rock Solid reserves the right not to offer the summer job if no
positions are available.
Candidates are required to be full-time students on their junior year with a
minimum GPA of 3.00. Students with a major in Computer Engineering,
Computer Information Systems, Computer Sciences or Accounting may
apply.
Applications must be postmarked no later than November 14, 2014. Rock
Solid will evaluate all applications and select finalists for interview by
November 28, 2014. Winners will be announced by December 5, 2014.
