    Activists calling for an end to the brutality, discrimination, and corruption scandals of the New York Police Department plan to gather at the Fountain at City Hall Park at noon on Columbus Day and then march to : • The gates of City Hall that face Park Row ; • NYPD Headquarters, One Police Plaza ; • The U.S. Attorney’s Office by way of the steps at 40 Centre Street ; • The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, One Hogan Place ; and • The New York City Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 26 Federal Plaza. At each of these stops, activists will speak out about how the these respective officials are betraying the non-stop community demands for NYPD reform. The offices of each of these officials have the power and authority to launch an independent commission to investigate NYPD brutality and corruption, including of the Internal Affairs Bureau. But none do. At each stop, activists will demand each of : an investigative commission into NYPD and IAB corruption, the resignation of Commissioner William Bratton, and an end to the discriminatory policing tactic known as « Broken Windows. ». All of these offices are just a few blocks away from each other. Activists believe the march may last between one and two hours.
