Write a paragraph summarizing the article. Obamacare website healthcare.gov isnt completely secure yet. Ways for improvement include: making sure security test are complete, require strong passwords, patch bugs in a timely manner, and restrict test servers. Obamacare was hacked this summer due to a test server. It was infected with malware. Luckily no personal data was stolen, only spam was spewed. The website doesnt keep a record of health records but, it does have confidential information such as names, addresses, social security numbers, and income levels. The launch of the website was chaotic. The website has been somewhat fixed. 91% of the 8 million people who signed up still have Obamacare. 3. The two search engines I used were Google and Yahoo. Google provided better sources. They had more websites to access than Yahoo. Also Google had more statistics and videos. Yahoo had a lot of lengthy articles. Some were interviews with congress and citizens. I prefer Google over Yahoo. 4. TRAAP your sources. How do you know? -The Associated Press is the author of the article. Yes, theyre qualified to write about this article. The Associated Press is an American multinational nonprofit news agency headquartered in New York City. The AP is owned by its contributing newspapers, radio, and television stations in the United States, all of which contributes stories to the AP and use material written by its staff journalists. The article doesnt say if its been tested for accuracy. Purpose: Why was it written? To inform, sell, or persuade? Is there a bias or is the material objective? -The article was written to inform. The material isnt bias, its objective. 5. Find two scholarly journal articles on the same topic from the CCBC Library databases. List the keywords you used to find the article. -obamacare website not secure Obamacare: How to zip through mess (Gengler, 2013) Identify the database used. Justify the choice of the database used. I chose the Science/Technology database because it had a lot of articles about security and privacy. 5. - Authority The Internet article was easier to access. As soon as I typed in obamacare into Google, many websites popped up. It took me less than 30 seconds to locate a website. The article from the CCBC database took a longer time to find. After about 5 minutes I was able to locate an article on my topic. The article from Google was written by the AP (Associated Press). This agency is qualified to write about such topics. The article from the CCBC Library was written by Amanda Gengler. Gengler is also qualified to write about these topics.
