Life as an Egyptian Pharaoh

Guidelines:
With a group of four assigned by your teacher
collaboratively create a 4-5 minute play
about the death and burial of your chosen
pharaoh - must include the funerary customs
typical of their time. Costumes and props may
be utilised to enhance your performance, but
they will not be assessed.
This will be delivered to both grade 7 classes in
week 8 - 25th March, a script will be due 18th
March. You will not be marked on this.
Individually write 100-150 words explaining the
life of your pharaoh due 25th March, draft
due 18th March.


Criteria:
Delivery of oral presentation - voice, confidence,
projection, entertainment value.
Accuracy of information in oral - includes each of
the funerary customs typical of ancient Egypt.
Accuracy of pharaohs life in written piece.
Accuracy of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Use of relevant resources
Purpose of assessment: Gauge knowledge and understanding of significant beliefs, values and practices of the Ancient Egyptians with particular
emphasis on death and funerary customs. With emphasis on the use of resources, and delivery of an oral presentation.
