Causes of the French Revolution

As we learned in the past chapter that French is the rebirth of the kingdom of the
Enlightenment, many of the people gather from all around Europe, because France was the
center of trade with large populations of people. However when everything goes well there will
also be something bad, France got a great Unrest, which is bad in harvesting, high prices and
taxes, and many question that disturbed the people by our famous philosophers like Locke,
Rousseau, and Voltaire The Old Regime, one of the caste system of the French peeps has created
something called Estates with unfair treats. The people that got angry the most was of course
were the third estate group. There is also a high raise in taxes, these problems are problems that
can be solve by great Kings but the king of French in that time Louis the 15 was very weak,
which led France no choice but to revolution.
As we talked about in the introduction, the Old Regime has divided France into social
classes or caste system like the Hindu people. These caste was divided into 3 different group
with the name of estates, each of the caste of course have different ranked and privileges in their
own priority. The first estates was like the highest among all, which only made up 1% of France
they were the Clergy, the richest and the highest ranked in France lower than King. They were
around 260k people in this estates Things in France are a little strange, Clergies are the group of
people who were the healthiest but then they for the group that were exempted to pay for the tax.
They only have to pay 2% of their money from their work to government. After the first estate is
the second of course even the second grade knows what came after one. The second estates was
made up of the nobles and rich people there are around 2% of the second class, which is around
520k. They have one thing which is greater than the 1
st
estates; even though they are poorer than
the 1
st
estates they have 20% of the land in France. The last group of the France estates is the
Third estates. They make up 97% of France; they were commoners, artisans, merchants, and
serfs. They were the poorest and yet they received unfair treat. They have to pay heavy tax than
any other caste. This is why the 3
rd
caste wanted to have a social reform, because of having a
poor social system because French revolution for the French peeps.
France not only have problem with the people but they also have problem with money
and economic. There are so many reasons of this cause. Have you ever thought why the taxes are
high; there are always reasons towards everything. The main reason is they are in debt with all
the countries; the countries itself is on bankruptcy because they went to help the American
colonist fought against the Great Britain and lost many things. The market of the country is not
in good shape. Crop failed because of bad weather, price of things increase because supply is
lower than demand. As Mr. Jade our world history teacher had said, Bread are like Gold the
third class would cause a lot of problems if they dont have bread. Worse come to worse the
country spent more than 2 million in extra spending unnecessary to the development of the
country. This of course was cause by the weak king of France.

Lets go in deep mode with the king Louis 15 and how weak is he in controlling France.
Everyone knows that the France is on absolute monarchy. The king who is very ignorant cant
make the right decisions towards everything. Usually when he makes any judgment he listens to
his court or wife. Meaning he is scared of his wife. The best part of the story was King Louis the
15 had the worst advice wife. She spends a lot of money uselessly. This leads to many problems
like the reformation itself.
In Conclusion, as everyone thought that France is a great country and very prosperity
country as everyone expected, it was a lie. Its not true at all; in fact the country is in debt and
about to fall. It is in inclination mode. The Old Regime was a system that people thought was
unfair and biased. Many people do not agree with it like the commoners which make up 97% of
France. Bread and crops were bad they cant grow them and prices were expensive. The weak
king with his weak queen is bringing the country down with overuse of unnecessary money.
There is only one way to save the country, REFORMATION IS THE KEY
