ABSTRACT

This action research was conducted to enhance the understanding of students on the name,
symbol and function of electrical components through the use of four "Kaga". The initial
survey showed that it is easier for the pupils to lose focus and there were no interest in
learning the electrical components. Therefore, the use of "Kaga" which incorporate
cooperative learning togather with teaching aids were used to overcome this problem. Five
pupils from class Empat Cemerlang Sekolah Kebangsaan Berangan(2), Tumpat were
choosen in this study. The Instruments used are observation, document analysis, interviews
and questionnaires. Findings showed that there are an increase in the understanding about
the subject through document analysis and observations made in the second test where there
are no weak pupils in the test. Through interviews and questionnaires, students are also
increasingly interested in the teaching and learning session using "Kaga". After intervention
were carried out, the interest of the pupils were increased to 100%. All in all, the data
obtained proof that the use of Kaga can enhance year four pupilss understanding on the
name, symbols and functions of electrical components.
