of May, 2014 Year 12 Psychology Topic Test
- Students had to complete a topic test on the neuron.
- These students need more discipline when taking tests they want to talk to each other during
the test and share materials VCAA will not allow it.

of August, 2014 Year 12 Psychology Folio SAC on Operant Conditioning
- Students had 50 minutes to complete the SAC one of the required folio activities on Thorndikes
Trial and Error Learning, and Skinners Operant Conditioning, including Schedules of
Reinforcement.
- The students love to talk, and sit next to one another. They think nothing of saying bless you to
students who sneeze.
- They dont take SACs as seriously as they should.
- At the end of the class, a student from the other Year 12 Psychology class came in and
complained that this class was receiving more help, and that it was unfair.

of August, 2014 Year 10 What is Psychology? Test
- The students did the test with no talking they are much better than the Year 12s at taking
tests.
- Some students who were outside in the hallway were told off for being too loud, and disrupting
students who were doing the test.
- One students was caught cheating, but my mentor teacher expected that of him and
consequences had already been considered.
- My mentor thought that the students had finished the test too early, therefore had them go back
over them.

of September, 2014 Year 11 Psychology Writing an Empirical Research Report
- The students began writing their ERA, with a double sided A4 cheat sheet, which my mentor
teacher checked to make sure that they hadnt included things like full sentences. Etc.
- The students were extremely quiet and focused on their work.
- There were no problems with students cheating.
- Some students came back at recess to finish the last twenty-five minutes of their writing time
(which I personally supervised).

of September, 2014 Year 12 Psychology Folio Part 4/5
- The students were completing Part 4 or 5 of the Folio SAC.
- The students, were quiet, focused and there were no cheaters caught.
- At the end of the SAC, students were given a small treat to encourage them to keep studying
hard.

of September, 2014 Year 12 Drama Solo Performance SAC
- I supervised a Year 12 Drama SAC for half a period as the teacher was called out of the classroom
to deal with an emergency.
- I had to keep a close eye on these students, because I didnt know the students well, and I didnt
want any student to cheat.
- My concerns were unfounded and I had no problems with the behaviour of the students in this
SAC.

of September, 2014 Year 12 Psychology Mental Health SAC
- For this SAC, students were required to create an informational brochure on Schizophrenia, its
biological causes, treatments. Etc.
- Once again, there were no problems with behaviour in this SAC.
- This continued into lunchtime. At the end of the SAC, I had to ensure that each student had
handed up their brochure, the cheat sheet they used, and the marking sheet they had been
provided with.
