    The patient is a 70 year old man presenting with difficulty swallowing. He reports a gradual onset of dysphagia to solids but not fluids over the past few months. He has also lost weight and noticed a neck lump. He has a history of smoking and previous lung cancer. Differential diagnoses include esophageal cancer and stricture from reflux esophagitis. Investigations planned are an upper GI endoscopy and barium swallow.
