The preliminary outline for this study is as follows:

1. Separate Release Dates

a. Apple is (has) released the iPhone 6 ahead of the iPhone 6S so they
havent pitted the two phones against each other.
b. By Apple having different release dates for their new 2014 phone
additions they projected sales rate will soar.
c. These new additions are Apple eighth generation of iPhone. Preordering
are still available on both these phones.

1. Software bugs
1. There is already a new software update to get rid of bug that the iPhone 6 has.
2. Apples shares closed down almost 4 percent at $97.87 on Thursday, wiping out nearly $23 billion
in market value.

a. There is a 3.5% failure rate on apps with iPhone 6. This is higher than the crash
rate with iOS7.
b. iOS8.02 was released due to iPhone 6 users not being able to make calls,
fingerprint security not working properly and other various security issues from
the previous updated software of iOS8.01

1. Fake iPhone gimmicks
a. Another issue with the iPhone is that of internet gimmicks that are being spread
around like wildfire. Fake advertisements that the new iPhone 6 can be charged
by putting it in the microwave and that it is supposed to bend have been fooling
some of the new iPhone users.
b. "With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six
days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6
Plus. As with any Apple product, if you have questions please contact Apple."
c. These phones are not bendable to the point where they would break easily. They
are made to be a little more durable then previous iPhones are currently right now.
So screens dont break as easily as they have in the past. They break at 110 lbs of
pressure
d. iPhone 6 design was leaked and there was a replica made by a Chinese company.

1. Apple is introducing new features that Android has had for years.
1. The new iPhones battery is now closer to being comparable to that of the larger Android phones,
but still not exact.

ii. Near Field Communication, which is a technology that
allows users to pay with their phone, has been out for
years and available on Androids, which iPhone has just
now introduced.
iii. Something that the iPhone 6 lacks is that of: wireless
charging, waterproofing, no storage expansion (as in
SD card), and a sapphire screen.
iv. Apple has introduced one of the flatter phones in the
celluar phone business this year.
v. The power button is raised and easy to hit with your
left or right hand.
vi. Scratching could become easy on this phone if faced
sided down on the surface but the sapphire glass that
covers the camera lens will keep it safe from forming
damages.

1. Apples stock is down to $97.87 which is %3.88 under the $100 mark that investors use to decide
what to do with their stock.

level since thats the same level the stock hit in 2012
before beginning a painful roughly 50% decline.

Apples profit
1. Apples profits exceed the entire PC industry
2. Apple just recently wrapped up its fiscal year 2012 with a record profit of $41.7 billion
and $156.5 billion in revenue.
3. Compare with Todays five Titans of personal computing, Apple grew revenue by
about $48 billion, more than Google, Microsoft, Dell, HP, RIM, and Nokia combined.
