EIGHTH FORMATION DAY CELEBRATIONS OF SRI VENKATESWARA VEDIC

UNIVERSITY

The eighth Formation Day Celebrations of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University
were held on 12-07-2014 at Rameswaram. Sri. Prahladachari, former Vice-
Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, graced the occasion as
the Chief Guest. Sri. P. Bhaskar, JEO.,TTD, was the honorary guest at the function.
Sri. K.E. Devanathan, Vice-Chancellor presided over the event.

The programme commenced at 7 am with the SudarshanaHomam performed
under the guidance of Sri. R.V. Satyanarayanacharyulu. Later at 9.30
purnahuthi was performed. It was succeeded by various other invocations like
chaturvedaswasthi, kumbhodakamarjana and distribution of prasad.

At 10 am the celebrations were officiated through an assembly. Chief Guest Sri.
Prahladachari stressed on the need to systemize the manner in which the Vedas
have to be learnt by the students. He spoke about the importance of the role of a
guru and wished the university all success in its path of progress.The Vice-
Chancellor re-iterated the fact that all the measures needed for the improvement
of the university were being adopted at a very fast pace and that everyone was
playing his part well. Next to speak was the JEO who assured TTDs help in all
matters pertaining to the university and its development; either in the past,
present or future.

Later two books published by the university Apasthambasritasutram and
Gobhilagruhyaprayogam were released. Students received clothes from the
hands of the Chief Guest and honorary guest. Sri. M.V.N. Pavana Kumara Sarma
conducted the Vote of Thanks. Sri. Nandan Bhatt acted as the anchor for the
entire programme. The Registrar& All the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and
students participated in the function.
